CTC server FAQ

The server IP, versions, accounts, modes and everything else people ask before their first match.

What is the CTC server IP?

Join at playctc.co on the default port. mc.playctc.co works too.

What does CTC stand for?

Crush the Core. Two teams, Red and Blue, fight over one center. Holding it lets your team mine the enemy core, and breaking all three of its hearts wins the match. The how-to-play guide covers it in full.

Which Minecraft version do I need?

The server runs Java Edition 1.21.11, and any Java version from 1.20 to 26.2 can join.

Can I play on Bedrock Edition?

No, CTC is Java Edition only.

Can I join without a premium account?

Yes. Premium accounts are logged in automatically. Everyone else registers a password the first time they join and logs in with it after that.

Is it free to play?

Yes. Joining and playing every mode is free.

How many kits are there?

14, and each has its own abilities and cooldowns. See them all on the kits page.

How many maps are there?

16 maps are in the rotation, every one a symmetric floating-island arena. Browse them on the maps page.

Is there 1v1?

Yes. There are dedicated 1v1 duel servers, plus a practice server for warming up.

How do tournaments work?

Tournaments are organised brackets run on the CTC servers and announced in the Discord.

Can I watch a match?

Yes. Pick any live server from the lobby to spectate it. Spectators are invisible and don't count toward either team.

Are my stats tracked?

Yes. Kills, wins, core cracks and center captures are saved across every match. See the leaderboards, live servers and your own profile on the stats page.
